  • AlternaShare+ Monthly Sharing Costs Details

     Membership is defined as;

  1. Children are dependent on an adult health sharing to age 18 unmarried, and age 19 through 25 dependent. The sharing administration gives special consideration on a case-by-case basis to unmarried children ages 26 and older who remain dependent on their member parent(s) due to special needs as determined by the administration at its sole discretion.

  • *MEC (Minimum Essential Coverage) plan included by a Third-Party Administrator qualified under the Affordable Care Act prevents penalty and qualifies for an HSA. The MEC provides prevention” health care services as outlined in the ACA. Minimum Essential Coverage Includes

  • Diabetes Screening
  • Depression Screening
  • Multiple Cancer Screenings
  • Cholesterol Screening
  • Blood Pressure Screening
  • Obesity Screening
  • Immunizations
  • Behavioral Assessments

  • **Annual tax donations to a charitable organization are included in the monthly plan cost. Donation amount is a sample for enrollment Jan 1-Dec 31.

  • *** The MEC Plan allows Members to obtain a Health Savings Account (HSA) and use the tax deduction and pre-tax contributions. For a single person under age 55+, HSA $3,450 annual contribution cap, and $6,750 family annual deposit cap contribution. People over age 55+ HSA contributions are $4,400 single or $7,750 family.

The plan provides discounts at certain health care providers for medical services. The plan does not make payments directly to the providers of medical services. The plan member is obligated to pay for all health services but will receive a discount from health care providers who have contracted with the discount medical plan organization. The range of discounts will vary depending on the provider type and services provided. The licensed discount medical plan organization is Coverdell & Company, Inc. Famy membership may include unmarried dependents 19-25.
